Welcome to Sierra leone Association, Jefferson City, Missouri
Members 2015
The association was founded in 1994 by 13 Sierra Leoneans living in Jefferson City. The objective is to serve as a social club with the primary purpose of bringing members together on a regular basis.
Secondly, to give moral and financial support to any member who might be in a difficult situation as deemed fit by the general membership.
Thirdly, to assist morally or financially or by any other means possible, a person or group in need of assistance when such assistance is proven necessary and affordable based on the availability of funds. Presently the association has 40 members from 3 african countries, namely: Sierra Leone, Nigeria, and Senegal. The association is funding a scholarship program (501 (c) (3) public charity) to support needy students in Sierra Leone in pursuing a high school education. As of date, over 80 students have benefited from the program.
